"Who is ChipsAway Midlothian and what do you do?"
My name is Clive Liddiard and I am a mobile car body-work and interior trim S.M.A.R.T. repair specialist based in Penicuik, covering the whole of Midlothian.
I have been fully trained to a professional standard and can repair most damage to your car's paintwork, wheels and/or interior trim e.g. bumper scuffs, scratches to paintwork and alloy wheels and cigarette burns to upholstery.
“What does S.M.A.R.T. Mean?”
This stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technology.
“How long does a repair take?”
Don't expect a 10 minute “quick-fix” with a can of spray-paint!! A typical bumper scuff will take around 3-4 hours to complete, depending on the damage.
“Are there any areas that you can't repair ?”
I generally can't repair damage if it's on your bonnet or roof – these areas are too large and flat for a mobile operator to deal with.
“What's the difference between a repair that you do and a Body Shop's?”
There are several!
I treat a small area around the damage, blending the new paint and lacquer to match in with the existing. Body Shops will usually replace and/or re-paint the whole panel.
Because I treat only a small area, it takes less time and materials so you can save up to 50% on conventional body shop costs.
I am fully mobile so I can come to carry out a repair at a place and time convenient for you. This means no more trailing back and forward to the garage or Body Shop - you can carry on with your normal daily activities while I repair your car outside your door. Your car is also ready to drive as soon as I have completed the repair.
I can even come to do a repair on a week-end if the car is unavailable during the working week.
“But will your paint match the rest of the car?”
Yes. I can match any factory production colour worldwide
“Is your repair guaranteed?”
Yes. As a ChipsAway specialist, I have been fully trained to a professional standard and my repairs are fully guaranteed.
“Is your paint system safe for the Environment?”
